Hand Nostalgia

For Trip the Light, a recent exhibition organized by a group of ten students from the Chelsea College of Art, I made a video installation composed by an espherical object and a screen, displaying an eight minutes long video.

A recent bone fracture drew my attention to the body, especially the hands. The absence of the right hand as my main tool turned into a reason to have the hands not only as makers, but as the theme of the work itself.

During the eight weeks I wore the cast, a few shaddows within my own personality were brought up and made me learn and adapt to a temporary, but frustrating condition. This video is an invitation to a journey towards the inside of the mind, where the healing really happens.
